Srilatha Reddy popularly Roja was born on 17th november 1972 in Tirupati, chittoor district, andhrapradesh. She was born to Nagaraja Reddy and Latha Reddy. She is the only daughter to her family, she has two brothers Kumaraswamy reddy and Ramprasad Reddy. Later the family moved to hyderabad. She had completed her bachelor’s degree in political science from Sri Padmavathi Women’s University , Tirupati. She is also a kuchipudi dancer , she used to perform kuchipudi before her entry into the films. She is married to R.K.Sekvamani in the year 2002 and she has two children.

Roja career

Roja entered into the Telugu industry with the film PremaThapassu in the year 1991. She had worked in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam films. She was introduced into Tamil films by the director R.K.Selvamani. She then acted almost 70+ films in Tamil. She is one of the most appeared actresses from 1991 to 2002.

She had acted for almost 50+ films in Telugu industry. In Malayalam she had only acted for 3 films and in kannada she has acted for almost 8 films. She has also received 3 Nandi awards and 1 Tamilnadu state film award for best actress, Cinema express award for best actress,Maa tea award for best anchor and ZEE telugu apsara awards for evergreen heroine. Roja political life

She had entered into politics in the year 1999 for TDP party and she was the president for Telugu Mahila wing of the party. She lost in the 2009 elections and in the year 2014 she had joined into an other party named YSR Congress and won as MLA from Nagari Assembly Constituency. She once again contested from Nagari Assembly Constituency in 2019 elections and had won the seat again. She was appointed as Chairman APIIC in 2020.
